$500 for three days of training.
How long does training last?
Training takes place during three, three hour sessions, on back to back days.
What does the training include?
Some of the subjects covered: Motivational Interviewing (MI); observing without absorbing; not making groups about you; group dynamics; a group's purpose; "rolling with resistance"; group pacing; proper time for self-disclosure; preventing burnout; importance of group rules; involving all participants, regardless of group size; group notation that represents the clients' best interest and satisfies the criteria of insurance carriers.
Who can attend training sessions?
Anyone can attend, but they are specifically designed for counselors or counselor regestrints.
What if a whole group of people from our facility wants to attend?
We offer our training at a discounted rate if more than three people from a facility want to attend.
